We want you here!

Thank you for taking time to check out The Compass Church South.

One of the most important things you can know about The Compass Church is that we are about Jesus. You will find that we seek to make much of the name and fame of Jesus every week. As you will experience here today, we have focused the Sunday gathering around pointing people to Him.

A compass is a simple tool that will always point you to true north. In the same way, we exist to point people to Jesus as we learn together and grow in what it means to engage the world with the good news of Jesus.

We understand that everyone is at a different place in their spiritual journey and how uncomfortable checking out a new church can be. We hope that The Compass Church never feels uncomfortable for you. We urge you to come as you are… no masks, no facades, but as you are. We come as we are, because we know that as we grow in Jesus, we are transformed to be people that reflect Jesus to the world around us. We are so thankful that although we come as we are, Jesus doesn’t leave us there.

The Compass Church is not a building, but rather, people who have been changed by Jesus. We gather together weekly and scatter throughout the week as the church. THE PEOPLE ARE THE CHURCH. Our goal is not to convert people to the church or to religion. Our goal is to see people walk with Jesus so that they can BE THE CHURCH in all areas of life.

If you are a Christian, we thank God for you and will pray for you as you continue serving in your home church. We could use your prayers, too!

If you have experimented with church in the past and have “fallen off the wagon”, then The Compass is for you and we want you here!

If you have been spiritually searching in your own journey for truth, meaning and community, but know there is something more… there is! At The Compass Church, we invite you to learn and explore the person and work of Jesus. He alone is the way, the truth and the life.

However you came here today, we are glad you’re here!

I also want to challenge you to Stick for Six: Give us six weeks this fall to learn what we are about, meet some of the great people here and really investigate where you might want to call home. We want you here and we are glad you’re here!

Church isn’t a museum for good people; it’s a hospital for the broken.

We Welcome You

We extend a special welcome...

to those who are single, married, divorced, gay, filthy rich, or dirt poor.

We extend a special welcome...

to those who are crying new-borns, skinny as a rail or could afford to lose a few pounds.

We welcome you...

if you can sing like Andrea Bocelli or like our pastor who can’t carry a note in a bucket.

You're welcome here...

if you’re “just browsing,” just woke up or just got out of jail.

We Welcome You

We extend a special welcome...

to those who are over 60 but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast.

We welcome...

soccer moms, NASCAR dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters.

We welcome...

those who are in recovery or still addicted.

We welcome you...

We Welcome Youif you’re having problems or you’re down in the dumps or if you don’t like “organized religion.” We’ve been there, too!

We offer a special welcome...

to those who think the earth is flat, work too hard, don’t work, can’t spell, or because grandma is in town and wanted to go to church.

We welcome...

those who are inked, pierced or both.

We offer a special welcome...

to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid or got lost in traffic and wound up here by mistake.

We welcome...

tourists, seekers and doubters, and bleeding hearts.

... and we welcome you & we want you here!
