South Leisure Centre (170 Sunset Drive)
You’re welcome here.
The atmosphere is casual, reflective and open to everyone!
You can expect to be welcomed into a friendly environment by people who are genuinely excited to see you. And arrive a few minutes early to enjoy a warm cup of coffee on us!
Our music is always about Jesus. God has blessed us with talented musicians who lead us in a variety of songs. Music prepares our hearts and minds to hear and respond to God's Word, the Bible.
We preach Jesus. We preach from the Bible, which is all about Jesus. Often we'll go through whole books of the Bible, verse-by-verse, to show what the whole Bible teaches and God's redemptive plan through it all.
We partake in communion together each week. Communion is a picture of the Gospel, and what Jesus has done for us. It is for believers only. This is also a time when our regular attenders give offerings.
Either before or after the service, we would love to get to know you. Drop by the Compass Connect table, talk with one of our friendly greeters, and fill out a Compass Connect card so we can follow-up with you!
We exist to point people to Jesus.
We do this by making disciples who:
A compass is a simple tool that not only tells us where we are, but where we need to go. At The Compass Church, we help people see where they are at in life and where they need to be directed, so they may enjoy a purposeful and amazing Gospel-centred life.
A compass always shows true north – no matter where it is in the world. Similarly, we are a church that will always point to Jesus – no matter where we are at in life. We do this by making disciples who Know the Gospel, Live the Gospel, and Advance the Gospel.
We are Gospel-centred, because the Gospel stands at the very centre of God’s redemptive plan, and in it we see Him most clearly for who He is and what He has done.
The term Gospel is found over 90 times in the Bible. In the Greek New Testament, the word Gospel means “Good News.”
Some understand the Gospel only as doctrinal content to be believed. Others diminish it to a personal, subjective experience of God’s presence. Still others see it as a social cause to be championed. The Gospel is none of these on its own, and yet it is all of these. A truly Gospel-centred church understands and embraces the fullness of the Gospel as a message to know, live and advance.
We’d like to get to know you!
Come join us for our next Welcome Lunch!

GPS Missional Communities
Let’s do life together.
We desire our GPS Missional Communities to be a culture in which we encourage, challenge, comfort, console, exhort and rebuke one another with the Gospel.
For example, if we are complaining, we need someone to challenge us to find joy in Christ. Or if we are anxious, we need someone to exhort us to trust in our Heavenly Father's care.
This is about Gospel intentionality through the week in the context of shared lives. We are children of God who live and care for each other as a family.
As a church, we take very seriously the call of Paul in 2 Timothy to “Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season.” We are committed to the public proclamation of God's Word week in and week out.
We host a variety of events throughout the year, including men’s and women’s retreats, preaching labs, Compass GO, and more.
Check out our calendar for upcoming events near you. We’d love to have you join us!
